The ComplyAdvantage integration screens customers against global watchlists for KYC and KYB compliance and monitors them for ongoing changes. For setup steps, see Get started.

Supported operations

The ComplyAdvantage connector supports the following operations.

Customer screening

  • Screens a customer against global watchlists for KYC and KYB compliance. Returns whether the subject appears in Sanctions, Warnings, Fitness and Probity lists, Watchlists, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) registers, or Adverse Media lists.

Ongoing monitoring

  • Request monitoring for a business or an individual as part of the instant screening. When monitoring is active and the subject starts appearing on any list, the connector triggers a proactive alert so your risk team can complete their due diligence.

Configure party monitoring

  • Enable or disable ongoing monitoring for a party you already screened (identified by caseReference from the screening response). Set identityProofingTaskDescription.monitoringFlag to Y or N (the connector also accepts boolean true or false). To use a specific monitoring profile, include identityProofingTaskDescription.monitoringProfileId; if you omit it, the connector applies the configured default from the connector monitoringProfileId header (for both enable and disable requests).

Events

The screening, monitoring, and configuration operations are synchronous. Ongoing monitoring alerts are raised in ComplyAdvantage; this connector doesn’t publish a Grand Central event stream for them.

Error mapping

The following table maps each ComplyAdvantage error code to its Grand Central counterpart:
